DCW Conversation series #001
It is the first public program of DOOSAN Curator Workshop (DCW), which is emerging in 2025, and hosted DCW Conversation series #001. Looking at curatorial practice or role, it provided a place for dialogue between contemporary curators, artists, and peoples. This inaugural talk featured Binna Choi, curator and supervisor of DOOSAN Curator Workshop, and Drew Kahuʻāina Broderick, an artist, educator, and curator. Drawing from their experiences curating the Hawai‘i Triennial in 2025 and 2022, they discussed Hawai‘i’s cultural and geopolitical landscape and shared curatorial processes and approaches informed by indigeneity. Today, we had time to share, learn, and interact with each other based on the ethics of caring, coexistence, and sharing the main issues, problems, processes, and methodologies of curating.
- DCW Conversation series #001 was conducted with interpretation between English and Korean by curator Jaeyong Park.
