Love Story of a Dog Walker

Playwright Donghoon Kang, a DAC Artist, explores the concept of coexistence while examining generational conflicts within the rapidly changing landscape of Korean society. He focuses on the potential bond between individuals who are not blood relatives. Kang’s plays also examine the emergence of new forms of love and family structures in contemporary society. Notably, his play That’s It was honored with the Best Play Award at the 60th Dong-A Theater Awards.  
Love Story of a Dog Walker tells the story of 88-year-old Sukrye, who has lived through Korea’s economic transformation since liberation. The play focuses on her family and their hired dog walker, tracing the flow and source of money through the generations and exposing the unsettling economic bubble that has formed within Korean society.
