A Day in theLife of Kubo, the Novelist is a staging of Park Tae-won’s novellaof the same name, which was published serialized in The Chosun Central Daily in 1934. The play describes theruminations that go through Kubo as he wanders around the streets of Seoul,along with the social conditions of the time. Seong Gi-woong reconstructs thisplay as a portrait of youth in the 1930s with a warm and elaborate touch thatwas evident in Novelist Kubo and GyeongseongPeople and Our Joyful Young Days.
